Local TV News Ads Promoting the Morning News
By Paul Greeley
Today’s News Blues is the only place that shares local TV news promos of every kind from around the country that readers can see, admire, emulate, criticize, dissect and steal.
I am connected to 18,090 people on LinkedIn, many of whom are in the broadcast industry.
So, I get to see what these people post on LinkedIn and it has become THE place for television news and marketing folks to share their work.
They value exposure because they’re proud of what they’ve created.
Local TV marketing and creative services folks love to see the creative promos done by other stations around the country.
We look for ideas, premises, copy points, production tips, etc. that we can borrow and customize for our station.
WOFL, Orlando

J.R. VanWassenhove, director and video editor for VW Media Group, posted this spot for WOFL, the Fox-owned station in Orlando, on social media.
The spot promises that everything you need, you get in that 6 a.m. hour.
“That 6:00 A.M. power hour is everything,” VanWassenhove wrote.
Gulf Coast News, Ft. Myers

Lisa Spooner, a morning news anchor at Gulf Coat News, Hearst’s ABC and NBC affiliates in Ft. Myers, posted this morning news spot that promises breaking news as it happens in the morning news.
When you work the crazy hours we do on this shift, you have to enjoy who you’re working with. Fortunately, I am surrounded by the best team of journalists… both on-air and those who work hard behind the scenes to bring you the best newscasts. But I also truly enjoy coming to work each morning and spending time with them. They’re good people and hard workers. There’s the old saying: “Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life…”
