TV Station Finds Creative Way to Promote NFL Game Between Two Close Cities
Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland are only about 40 miles apart.
And so, an NFL game between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens is bound to be a close rivalry, even if it’s a pre-season game.

On Friday, August 28th, the Washington Commanders played the Baltimore Ravens in a pre-season game and Robyn Walters, a morning show producer for WUSA, Tegna’s CBS affiliate in Washington, put together a fun news package that aired “during WUSA9 Mornings as part of our coverage leading up to the Commanders-Ravens preseason game.”
“Our anchors were field anchoring outside the stadium in Baltimore, and the package was one of several elements I produced for the show.”
The package broke down some of the cultural differences between DC and Baltimore.
“As someone who loves both DC and Maryland equally, even I’m struggling to decide which I like best,” wrote Walters.
By the way, that pre-season game played on Friday, August 28th, between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens, the Ravens won 41-3.
