A week ago we reported that KSHB sports reporter Dee Jackson was the second person to file a discrimination lawsuit against the Scripps Kansas City, MO station
This week, the FIRST person to file a legal action against the station in recent times is now a FORMER employee.
“Hey Facebook friends,
I’ve hit my final liveshot at KSHB-TV!
After 14 years and 3 months, I am no longer a reporter at 41 Action News – KSHB-TV.
I can’t thank you all enough for allowing me into your homes and trusting me to tell your stories.
From covering the inauguration of president Barack Obama to becoming an Emmy award-winning journalist…I will forever cherish my work here in Kansas City!”
And it looks like the choice to exit was not reporter Lisa Benson’s to make.
But she and her now-former bosses will meet again.
They have an August 13th court date in that lawsuit she filed back in December of 2016.
