A Denver Colorado reporter has run off an advertiser that spent over $100-thousand dollars a week and he still has a job.
KUSA reporter Chris Vanderveen‘s story prompted a mysterious political group to pull it’s advertising.
He details the saga here and writes:
“Journalism relies, in my very humble opinion, on journalists who ask tough questions of everyone.
Even those who might stop spending money with your sales staff.
And, again in my humble opinion, it really works when those journalists don’t hear a peep from the folks upstairs.”
Perhaps some GM’s will read this and re-think before demanding a car wash opening be covered as thinly veiled “community service.”
