REEL MEDIA GROUP ACQUIRES NEWSBLUES AND MEDIALINE

Television Talent Development and Training Agency Expands to Include News Journalism and Industry Job Listings

February 9, 2021– (BOCA RATON, FL.) – Reel Media Group, the top talent development, training and mentorship agency for broadcasters, today announced the company has acquired media site NewsBluesand its assets, including its ad-supported digital newsletter and companion TV job bank, Medialine.

NewsBlues, which provides a concise, objective collection of the top media news and Medialine, which lists hundreds of television jobs each week, will now be managed by Stephanie Tsoflias-Siegel, Reel Media Group founder and owner.

Reel Media Group offers a full range of programs for broadcast journalists including training, demo reel creation, job placement and job listings. For the last several years Reel Media Group had partnered with Medialine to provide exclusive job leads to journalists in the Reel Media Group Job Catalyst Program, RMG’s headhunting service for broadcasters.

With Reel Media Group continuing to grow, it made sense to add news journalism content to our offerings. We plan to expand NewsBluescoverage and increase the frequency of the newsletter to give readers the most current coverage of the media industry,” said Tsoflias-Siegel. RMG had been working with Medialine to provide the sites listings content, and it was a natural next step to add it to our portfolio.”

Tsoflias-Siegel, an Emmy Award-Winning journalist and entrepreneur, has a long history working in media, most recently as an editor for AdWeeks TV Spy. Previously, Tsoflias worked on-air at WPIX in New York and in several markets across the US, including Fort Myers, where she landed a one-on-one exclusive interview with thenVice Presidential candidate Joe Biden. Her media career began in Gainesville, Florida, when at age 23, she was selected as one of twelve journalists to witness the execution of the Gainesville Killer,” Danny Rolling.

 

Tsoflias-Siegel created Reel Media Group in in 2014 to help aspiring journalists create demo reels, and the company has continued to add to its offerings. In addition to his work with RMG, Weinstein is the play-by-play voice of the Washington Football Team and host of The Bram Weinstein Show“ on ESPN Radio in Washington DC. Previously, Weinstein was an anchor for ESPNs SportsCenter.
