POPULAR TAMPA ANCHOR HEADS NORTH FOR A BETTER SHIFT

What would you do for a dayside, weekday shift?

WFLA weekend anchor Rod Carter is willing to move from Florida to North Carolina to make it happen!

Carter, who was the weekend anchor at the Tegna station in Tampa, Fla., announced he’ll go to his sister station WNCN to become the new weekday anchor.

“In a few weeks I’ll be moving to a new station… @WNCN in a Raleigh. I’m super excited about this next chapter – but will definitely miss my family here in Tampa. But thanks to the power of zoom — I’ll always be around,” he wrote.

Carter’s been at the Tampa station for a long time. In 2015, he was moved from the morning show to the weekend evening shows.
