VETERAN SAN DIEGO REPORTER CALLS IT CAREER

An amazing run for Dave Scott has come to an end. The veteran reporter and meteorologist is retiring from KUSI in San Diego after 30 years at the station.

During an interview on KUSI, Scott, a jazz trombonist, said his “third segment” of life will be focused strictly on music.

Scott estimates he’s done upwards of 10,000 features for KUSI in his three decades.

His last day was Sunday.

“You’re always going to have some kind of tears, whether they’re inward or outward,” Scott said.

Scott said he’ll miss being part of the KUSI family and coming into viewers’ lives.
