AFTER TWO YEARS, IN PERSON EDITORIAL MEETINGS RESUME
At least two Tegna station in Texas held their first in-person editorial meeting in over two years.
The pandemic shut newsrooms down in March of 2020, everything went to Zoom.
There has been back and forth on protocols as the virus ebbed and flowed over the past couple of years.
Tegna as a company, doesn’t have one protocol all the stations need to follow regarding people in newsroom, masks and other COVID mandates, they leave it up to stations.
This week KENS in San Antonio, Texas and KVUE in Austin, Texas in—person morning meeting resumed.
We know some employees did wear masks.
It’s possible this means more stations will start opening up.
On a side note, many stations across the station groups, have started to allow guests back in the building. Another milestone.
