NEW BEGINNINGS FOR FORMER IOWA ANCHOR

Sabrina Ahmed Zenor, the former WOI anchor in Des Moines, Iowa, started her new journey.

She is the community relations director for Summit Carbon Solutions, an Ames startup seeking to build one of three carbon capture pipelines proposed in Iowa, the Des Moines Register reported.

“Feeling very thankful I was able to spend a few months at home with Beau and Bella this summer, and for the space to make this decision thoughtfully,” Zenor wrote on Facebook.

She was the morning anchor on “We Are Iowa” and hosted the station’s “This Week in Iowa” show. Zenor left WOI in April after a decade.

“Sabrina’s extensive experience in communications and public policy issues makes her uniquely suited to support Summit Carbon Solutions in our ongoing efforts to open new economic opportunities for ethanol producers and strengthen the agricultural marketplace for farmers throughout the Midwest,” Jake Ketzner, Summit’s vice president for government and public affairs, said in a statement, according to the Des Moines Register.
