SAN DIEGO REPORTER SWITCHES GEARS TO PUBLIC RELATIONS

A reporter in San Diego is moving into the world of public relations. Michelle Rodriguez has left Telemundo San Diego/KUAN to join a PR agency in Southern California, Media Moves reports.

Rodriguez, who had been a multimedia journalist, before getting a staff position during her three years at the Telemundo station, told Media Moves that it was right time to forge a new career.

“After dealing with the pandemic disruptions, especially in news, I decided news was no longer fueling my passion, my mental health was slipping in the midst of so many negative topics to cover during these devastating times the world faced,” she said.

Rodriguez, who previously worked for Estrella TV in Los Angeles and Telemundo Las Vegas, wouldn’t close the door on her future.

“This isn’t to say I will never seek to return, but for now, my sights are set on other things,” she told Media Moves.
