HE’S NOT RETIRING…JUST LEAVING TV NEWS

We told you Monday of the pending retirement of the Rochester, NY anchor team of Ginny Ryan and Doug Emblidge from Sinclair-operated WHAM after 30 years.

As it turns out, when Emblidge steps down from the anchor desk, he will be stepping into a new position with Alesco Advisors, a local investment group in Rochester.

There he will be working with the firm’s nonprofit and institutional clients as well as individuals.d

He wraps it up at the station in November and begins his new job in December.

No word yet on whether Ryan also has a career shift in mind.
