SHOT FIRED AT MEMPHIS STATION. GUNMAN IN CUSTODY

A shot was fired at a Memphis television station on Tuesday, but, fortunately, no one was wounded, the station said.

Imagicomm’s WHBQ reported that the shot was fired at about 11:30 a.m. and that the bullet fell outside of the front door of the lobby of the building, which is located in a commercial area near the University of Memphis campus.

The gunman then fled into a nearby business and barricaded himself inside.

ATF agents and police officers swarmed the scene and the gunman, still unidentified, was taken into custody about two hours after the shot was fired into the station.

The motive for the incident remains to be revealed.
