A BITTERSWEET PARTING IN THE BAY AREA, A SWEET LANDING IN A NETWORK CORRESPONDENT GIG

It was a classic, if a bit cliched, bittersweet announcement four weeks ago from KGO weekend anchor Liz Kreutz as she announced her departure from the Disney San Francisco outlet after four years.

But all’s well that ends well, as they say, and Kreutz is now happily seated as a Los Angeles-based correspondent for NBC News.

She will “cover all news in the western region, reporting across all NBC News and MSNBC platforms,” according to a news release from the Peacock network.

When Kreutz announced her departure back in June, she didn’t give a hint as to what was coming next.

The new job is a nice finish to her story.
