AND THE OTHER SHOE JUST DROPPED

We told you back on September 5th  that rumors were swirling around longtime WGAL  anchor Janelle Stelson about a possible Congressional run.

And Stelson has since announced that she is leaving the Hearst station  after 26 years to “pursue other interests.” *wink wink*

“I am going to step away from the news,” Stelson said at the close of Thursday’s 5:30 p.m. broadcast. “After nearly 40 years as a journalist, 26 of them here at WGAL, tomorrow night is going to be my last newscast.”

So now she is officially gone and what next?

Perhaps the recent speculation that she is considering a bid for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District seat, currently held by U.S. Rep. Scott Perry, will come to fruition.

Stay tuned, as she once might have said during the news.
