WELL, HERE’S A DEFECTION WITH AN INTERESTING ANGLE

We’ve frankly lost track of the number of stories we’ve written over the years of people who abandon tv news to enter the world of real estate, fulltime parenthood, therapy or PR.

Hell, we’ve lost track of how many in the past week!

But those are all local folk.

This time, it’s CNN veteran Noah Gray.

For the past nine and a half years he’s been a Washington DC-based producer for CNN.

Gray is leaving CNN to become *checks  notes* Chief Communications Officer & Director of the Media & Community Relations Division for the District’s Fire and EMS operations.

Most recently, he’s been senior coordinating producer for the Washington Bureau and special events.
