HONEST….IT JUST SORT OF SLIPPED OUT

Devoted readers of “People” magazine have no doubt encountered the story of Taylor Bruck, a Spectrum 1 news anchor in Ohio who…accidentally …outed herself on television.

This is the same Taylor Bruck who publicly thanked Spectrum last summer for giving her the chance to atttend a conference of  LGBTQ journalists.

It’s not like she was  hiding.

We’re happy for anyone who can be true to themselves, but something about this story kind of feels like a setup.

She “accidentally” mentioned her girlfriend in a cross-talk chat with her co-anchor about Thanksgiving holiday plans – and it suddenly turns up in “People?”

And becomes a social media thing in the process?

There is some good marketing going on here.
