On Friday, June 28th, the weather called for ice cream in Orlando.
So WOFL, the FOX-owned affiliate in Orlando, branded as FOX 35, partnered with the South Orlando YMCA and Ice Twister to surprise children at the Y’s summer camps to scoop them free ice cream sundaes with all the toppings.
Fox 35’s morning news, Good Day Orlando, teamed up with the folks in creative services to treat the kids.
Brooks Garner, FOX 35 Storm team meteorologist and Danielle Knox, Good Day Orlando co-anchor, donned aprons and served ice cream to the children.

The kids also got some free swag- sunglasses from The Masked Singer and hats from the Masked Singer to the YMCA employees and other adults.
Whatever ice cream was left went back to FOX 35 to treat the employees for all their hard work.
What would you ask the boss of a TV station if you could ask ANYTHING?
Now you can.
