KSBW, Hearst’s ABC and NBC affiliates in Salinas, California, held a broadcast and online fundraiser, its 38th annual KSBW Share Your Holiday.

“KSBW’s collaboration with the Salvation Army provides essential support to individuals and families on the Central Coast during the holidays,” says Laura Williamson, KSBW’s GM. “We deeply appreciate our community’s commitment to assisting those in need and are grateful for their generosity.”

Held on Friday, December 6, $220,879 was raised in total cash donations.

The annual event helps Central Coast residents with financial donations going toward food, clothing, rent assistance and toys for children.

In addition to cash donations the event collected 4,006 toys and 2,801 lbs. of food.

All donations help individuals and families in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties.
