WSB, Cox’s ABC affiliate in Atlanta, partnered with One Warm Coat, a non-profit organization that provides free coats to children and adults, to give away more than 7,000 coats for Georgians in need.

The initiative, Brad Nitz’s Coat Drive, is hosted by Brad Nitz, WSB’s chief meteorologist.

“It’s just incredible to watch our community come together to make sure Georgians stay warm this winter,” Nitz says. “I’m thrilled with the response because of all the people it will help during the coldest time of the year.”

Marian Pittman

“Together, as a community, we made a positive impact for people in need all over North Georgia,” says Marian Pittman, President of WSB-TV. “A big thank you to Channel 2 viewers, our Family 2 Family partners, and Atlanta Peach Movers for helping to quickly collect thousands of coats this winter.”

Condace Pressley

“We’re working fast with One Warm Coat and other local non-profit organizations to distribute all of the coats as soon as possible.” says Condace Pressley, Director of Community Affairs at WSB-TV. “For the second year in a row Brad’s Coat Drive has been a success and we are looking forward to making it even bigger in the years to come.”
