WISN, Hearst’s ABC affiliate in Milwaukee, is launching the new initiative on October 8, 2025, to support local non-profit organizations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
Called ‘WISN 12 Day of Giving’, the station will feature a different non-profit to help advance its mission, pursue its goals, and most importantly, improve people’s lives, during one Wednesday each month.
This initiative aims to promote the power of community through the power of giving.

“This will make a meaningful impact on not just the organizations, but so many people across Wisconsin,” says Shawn Oswald, president and general manager of WISN 12. “Lives can be truly transformed with just one day of help, one day of hope, and one day of giving.”
To kick off the initiative, WISN 12 is featuring the non-profit ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis. The organization offers free emotional support services to empower anyone impacted by a breast cancer, at any stage, anywhere. This includes people in treatment or who have completed treatment, those living with stage IV/metastatic disease, populations at high risk of developing breast cancer, as well as family and friends.
On October 8, 2025, WISN 12 is supporting ABCD through extensive on-air and online coverage. Viewers can donate by calling into a phone bank, scanning a QR code displayed onscreen on WISN 12, and by visiting wisn.com/giving.
Fields Auto Group will amplify donations to ABCD by generously matching up to $25,000. In addition, people can get involved by volunteering, writing notes of encouragement, assembling care kits, organizing drives, or sharing ABCD’s story. Breast cancer survivors are also invited to become trained peer supporters, walking alongside those just beginning their breast cancer journey.
“We’re proud to devote a full day to supporting a worthy cause in our community,” adds Oswald. “Together, we make the difference.”
