“Brian has been a steady voice for our viewers during severe weather, sharing critical updates with expertise and compassion,” says Baylor Long, WTAE news director.

“His commitment to delivering clear, impactful weather information through innovative forecasting has truly set him apart. We are confident his new role will allow him to connect with even more of Western Pennsylvania on TV and digital platforms.”

Prior to his time as a WTAE Channel 4 meteorologist, Hutton was a meteorologist at stations in Kentucky, Mississippi, and North Carolina.

His severe weather experience includes snowstorms, hurricanes, and tornadoes. During an EF-4 tornado in Kentucky, Hutton instructed viewers on safety procedures throughout the dangerous storm. He has the seal of approval from the National Weather Association.
