Lauren Minor Returns to Cincinnati, Her Hometown, Joining WCPO

Lauren Minor is joining WCPO, Scripps’ ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, as weekend morning news anchor/reporter.

Minor spent the previous year working at WLEX, the NBC affiliate in Lexington, KY as an anchor/reporter.

While at WLEX, Minor was nominated for an Ohio Valley Emmy Award in the Magazine Program-Series Category.

Before joining WLEX, Minor was weekday morning news anchor/reporter at WXIX, the Fox affiliate in Cincinnati, from 2019 to 2024.

In 2022, Minor won an Ohio Valley National Emmy Award for her compelling breaking news reporting of four tornadoes in Western Kentucky that killed more than 50 people.

While at WXIX, Minor also co-produced and co-hosted one of the station’s most successful podcasts “Mic’d Up Moms”.

The podcast focused on navigating parenthood, friendship, and Mom lessons while growing up with kids and working a full-time job.

Prior to making the move to her hometown of Cincinnati in 2019, Minor worked at WKYT the CBS affiliate in Lexington as a news anchor/reporter.

Minor got her start in broadcasting working at WTWO, the NBC affiliate in Terre Haute, IN.

Minor wore just about every hat in the newsroom working as a reporter/MMJ and lifestyle show host.

Minor attended college at the University of Kentucky before receiving her Bachelor of Arts Communications degree from Northern Kentucky University.
