Honestly, we can’t help but be a bit mystified at the latest ABC News image campaign.
Much as we like John Goodman, we can’t quite get a handle on his presence, reading tongue-in-cheek lines such as “your dad told you smarten up” and “your dog is judging you right now.”

Maybe the news division thought using Goodman was a clever play off the success of “Roseanne.”
Then Miss Barr made sure that strategy crashed and burned.
Let it join “Lean Forward” as another promotional misfire on the national level.
