ON SECOND THOUGHT…

SOMEONE at NBC thought it was a good idea to accept a check from the Trump Campaign and schedule that fact-challenged political commercial tying a convicted cop killer to the migrant caravan and then tying the whole mess with a pretty bow around the neck of the Democratic party.

SOMEONE scheduled it during “Sunday Night Football” and on MSNBC(!)

But we’ll likely never know who.

We do know that on Monday “After further review we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have decided to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible.”NBCUniversal Spokesperson.

And once again, the barn door is locked with the horse out running wild in the field.

CNN had already rejected the lightly edited 30-second spot, labelling it “racist” and “unfit for broadcast.”

According to Adweek’s Jason Lynch, the spot was apparently cleared by NBC’s standards and practices team prior to its airing during “Sunday Night Football.”

Following the backlash, NBCUniversal reviewed the spot again Monday morning and suddenly found everything that made it unfit for air.

Now NBC wants you to know that network ad sales chief Linda Yaccarino’s appointment to a two-year term on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition had nothing to do with the initial clearance of the ad.

Far be it from us to insinuate otherwise. *wink wink*
