So, for those of us who are a *tad* bit older than let’s say 75 percent of the current broadcast workforce, Monday was an anniversary of sorts.

It’s when we all gathered around the monitors in the newsroom 25 years ago and watched a slow speed chase unfold as Police followed OJ Simpson through the streets of Los Angeles.

It was one of those, ‘Where were you when’ conversations that usually unfold after a few beers following your late broadcast Friday.

Monday, Twitter was full of such memories from broadcasters.

And, looking back, we didn’t have internet hook up in newsrooms and typewriters were pretty common in the lower markets, but somehow, we were able to turn a decent product nightly.

Here’s to all you old-timers from the prehistoric age still giving it a go.
