Roop Raj has been a reporter and anchor with Fox-owned WJBK in Detroit for well over 10 years, but that didn’t stop a bonehead from trying to school him, in a most ungraceful and ungrammatical way, about a topic Raj was covering.
Raj recently tweeted about a story on how small businesses are preparing for tariffs to start.
In response, someone replied: “Raj, i wish you understand why the tariffs will be in place. I’m not sure where you came from. But USA wants fair trade do some homework then report.”
Raj quickly responded.
Raj, who arrived in Detroit in 2009, started his career as a reporter, anchor and weathercaster for WEYI in Flint for four years, and later continued in New Orleans as a morning anchor and reporter for seven years.
So he knows how to handle the occasional troll.
And he handled it very well.
