FROM HOUSTON TO… COLLEGE STATION?
KTRK sports anchor-reporter David Nuño is taking a new job in a much smaller market.
But its a job he really wants.
He’ll leave Houston for Bryan-College Station as the director of broadcast media for TexAgs, a digital site dedicated to Texas A&M University sports.
“I am coming home,” Nuño said on TexAgs. “I have always had a love for the Bryan-College Station area. There are two things in sports that get my blood going: Texas A&M and Real Madrid soccer. There is nothing like A&M sports. I’ve always thought about one day relocating. It’s the perfect area at the perfect time.”
He has a connection to the town and the school. He went to A&M and was also the sports anchor for KXXV in Waco.
It’s been a turbulent time for the ABC station in Houston.
Just recently, KTRK lost its news director to WABC.
