TRADING SPORTS FOR LOVE

Sometimes life matters – even though so many of us put it on hold to pursue news.

For Bangor, Maine sports anchor and sports director John Wagoner it was three years in a small market and done.

He’s leaving TV news to be with his girlfriend who is in Brooklyn and he’ll take a sports social media position.

“It takes a lot out of you. It is rewarding, but I had to prioritize my personal life. I had to make a decision that was best for me.”

Sports anchor Dave Peck will be promoted to sports director. Peck got to the station in the middle of the pandemic.
