CONDOLENCES POUR IN FOR LONGTIME DC ANCHOR WENDY RIEGER

The condolences are numerous for legendary WRC anchor Wendy Rieger, who died on Saturday from brain cancer.

Rieger spent more than 30 years at NBC4 in Washington. She was 65.

Her death impacted DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, who tweeted that she was “heartbroken over one of DC’s most beloved anchors.”

Several colleagues and others from Washington posted about the loss of Rieger. Even the Washington Nationals and Commanders sports franchises offered sympathies.
