‘NEW ADVENTURES’ FOR NEW MEXICO METEOROLOGIST

Kelly Franson is stepping away from the green screen. The meteorologist said goodbye after three years at KOAT in New Mexico.

“It’s time for new adventures away from the world of television,” Franson said on her Facebook page.

She previously spent time forecasting for KIRO in Seattle, WBTV in Charlotte and KBOI (formerly KBCI) in Boise.

Franson earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of North Dakota.

“I’m not sure what’s next for me, but I’ll always treasure my time in the Land of Enchantment, at the weather wall and beyond!” she said.
