FORMER SCRANTON ANCHOR JOINS THE POLITICAL CIRCUS
Back in March, we told you about the exit of WNEP anchor Tom Williams after 30 years at the station….26 of them at the morning anchor desk.
At the time, he was a tad coy about his plans and ultimately wound up running in the Republican primary for the 119th Legislative District seat.
He lost.
But you can never really count anyone out of politics, if they know how the game is played.
“Helping others has always been a priority for me, so this new role is a natural fit,” said Williams in a press release issued Monday from Baker’s office. “I am looking forward to serving people at the state level, trying to solve their problems, answer their questions, and connect them with available resources and assistance.”
