Former WIVB news director Lisa Polizzi has put the tv news business in her rearview mirror.

Polizzi, who was fired by the Nexstar station in May, is the new executive communications manager and board liaison for Stark Tech, which describes itself as “a leader in optimizing facilities and energy sources, aligning technology with real world experience across a broad portfolio of capabilities.”

Polizzi was ousted after an HR probe came up with current and former staffers who described the newsroom as a “toxic environment.”

She’d been running the newsroom for five years and before WIVB, was ND at WKBW in Buffalo.
