WABC’S MARZA, WNBC’S CHANDLER AMONG THE EMMY WINNERS
There were so many awards at the New York Emmy Awards, we are highlighting another batch of winners from the Saturday night show in midtown Manhattan.
One of those is Mike Marza, whose name was in the envelope for Best Live Reporter. The WABC talent joined WNJU/Telemundo 47’s Carlos Zapata in the winner’s circle.
For Daily News Reporter, Seth Voorhies of Spectrum News and Alejandro Condis of WXTV Univision 41 were winners.
In the Team Coverage category, WABC’s “Eyewitness News at 6” won for “Ida’s Aftermath.” They shared the Emmy with WNJU for its “11pm Tri-State Election Night.”
WNBC won for Continuing Coverage: “Remnants of Hurricane Ida.”
Speaking of weather, News 12’s Mike Rizzo and Pedro Montoro of WNJU were named Best Weather Anchor.
Checking sports, it was a three-way tie: WNBC‘s John Chandler, News 12‘s Kevin Maher and Lulu Gomez of WXTV were named Best Sports Reporter.
