TURNING HER FOCUS TO AUTHORSHIP

Late last year, Julie O’Neill was unceremoniously dumped by Scripps flagship WCPO in Cincinnati, OH after 27 years with the station.

She was the anchor of “Good Morning Tri-State” when she was given the old “going in another direction” bull by management last September.

She wasted no time in exiting the station.

And now she is ready to introduce you to her new book.

The book she turned out of her word processor, titled “Bold,” serves up a mix of stories from her 30-year journalism career with a healthy smattering of motivational lessons thrown into the mix.

“Join Julie as she pursues interviews with icons and everyday heroes, and shows you how to tap into your own boldness to overcome your fears, take risks and trust yourself to reach your personal unlimited potential for happiness and success,” the book’s description reads.

But what you really want to know is in the book’s next-to-last chapter, when she addresses her less-than-gentle exit from the station where she had spent so many years.

It’s coming out this spring.
