Engineers at WWTV (CBS) spent their Labor Day, laboring to get the stations on-air signal back.

It all began last Friday (August 31st) when the former home to the local CBS in Traverse City, Michigan caught fire.

WWTV moved into its new digs back in 2017.

The Heritage Broadcasting Group’station on its website reported: “Firefighters got here early Friday morning and they actually had to tear down a lot of the building just to get at the flames. For decades this is where we brought you the news, it’s where you let so many familiar faces into your homes night after night and for all of us here, this was more than a building.”

WWTV says the building is a total loss, no immediate word what caused the blaze, viewers can watch via live stream.
