ARIZONA CHANGES

Fans of Arizona’s “Family stations” may have noticed some big changes: KTVK (Independent) evening anchor Brandon Lee has exited the station, and Preston Phillips, who anchors mornings and afternoons for KPHO (CBS) is soon to follow.

Kevin James, vice president and general manager for the stations, wished them well.

“We wish them the best as they move on to different opportunities,” he says. “We appreciate the work they did.”

Lee, whose last broadcast was Friday, Nov. 23, came to KTVK in 2014 after a stint in Atlanta.

On Facebook, he was asked if he plans to return to Georgia. “It’s a real possibility!!” he posted. “Not back to CBS46 though!! I’d come back to a different station in Atlanta!”

Phillips came to KPHO  in 2015 from San Diego. He will be moving to an anchor spot in Seattle.

His last day on the air in Phoenix is Dec. 7.

There is no word on who will be replacing the anchors.

“Arizona’s Family” is the joint label given to Channel 3 and Channel 5, which merged in 2014.
