WISH (CW) morning news anchor Lauren Lowrey is leaving after seven years at the station.

The Daybreak anchor says she accepted a position at WSMV (NBC) in Nashville, Tennessee. Lowrey, who has been on maternity leave since August, will begin co-anchoring the evening newscast on Dec. 3.

“Indianapolis was more than just a place to live, it was our home for nearly 8 years,” Lowrey said in a statement.

“My husband and I were married while living here and our two kids were born here.”

Cox Media Group has appointed Sean Garcia director of marketing for WSB (ABC) Atlanta, effective Dec. 31.

In his new job, Garcia will develop and execute strategic marketing plans to recruit new TV and digital users, and introduce a differentiated WSB-TV brand to new residents moving to the market.

Garcia will succeed Steve Riley, who is retiring at the end of this year after serving as director of marketing at WSB for the last 19 years.
