Veteran CNN journalist Isha Sesay, who worked as the newsreader on “Anderson Cooper 360,” hosted a show on HLN, and most recently served as the co-anchor of “CNN Newsroom: Los Angeles,” is out the door.
She’s leaving the network after 13 years because she’d like to be talking about something beside the Trump Administration.
“He sucked all of the oxygen out of the room. The media is following that lead to the exclusion of almost everything else, in a meaningful way. For me, personally, it’s not what I want to spend all my time doing.”
She’d like to do stories with more of an international focus like the Ebola outbreak, foreign elections and a host of other stories that self-absorbed Americans don’t know anything about and care even less.
