A station in Norfolk is looking for a dynamic on-air Meteorologist to be part of the News 3 First Warning Storm Team.

Candidates must will work well alongside the rest of the weather team for daily team coverage and severe weather but will also be responsible for solo anchoring weather in several shows each week.

Candidates must be flexible to work weekends, early mornings and late nights.

You will have to not just forecast the weather but tell a weather story. Y
ou need to be skilled at graphic creation and have the ability to use those graphics to tell a clear, concise and interesting weather story.

You’ll also need to make that story different through multiple weather hits inside a block of news.
The ideal candidate will be active on social media and be ready to connect with viewers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Knowledge in operation of all aspects of WSI weather technology
Excel in digital content with a heavy emphasis on social media
A degree in meteorology
Minimum 3 years experience as a broadcast meteorologist
