A NEW CHIEF MET IN DAYTON

After six years at Cox-owned WHIO in Dayton, OH, McCall Vrydaghs is the newly-named chief meteorologist at the station.

“I’m very excited to start this next chapter of my life,” Vrydaghs said. “The Miami Valley is my home, and it means everything to me to keep families safe from severe weather by leading the very best weather team in Southwest Ohio.”

She’ll be replacing current chief meteorologist Eric Elwell, who is moving to Columbus at the end of the year to be closer to family.

She takes over the chief met job immediately.
