Those who worked a Tribune’s ill-fated news operations in Dallas and Houston will be receiving their final paycheck, a severance of sorts, in a few days.

But, one the lucky ones who was able to bail out of Dallas for Houston to continue work with former news director Steve Simon on an all new and improved morning show was Shane Allen who, after a few short weeks in the Bayou City is bailing out.

Allen took to Facebook a few weeks back to announce his move.

Allen seemed at home with The Morning Dose, working as managing editor and on-air talent after landing there from WFAA (ABC) and KTVT’s (CBS) desks.

Hopefully, this move will be a better fit for the Emmy and AP award winner.
