While Wilmington, NC anchor Randy Aldridge continue his medical leave to battle cancer, moving into his chair at the anchor desk will be something of a familiar face.

Donna Gregory will co-anchor evening newscasts at Morris Multimedia’s WWAY in Aldridge’s absence.

Gregory is not a stranger to a region, having spent a dozen years as an anchor and reporter up I-40 in Raleigh at WRAL and WNCN.

After she left Raleigh, and until 2008 she was a correspondent for “Today”, “Nightly News,” CNBC and MSNBC.

“We are so fortunate to have a talented and experienced anchor like Donna available and willing to join us while Randy is out,” WWAY News Director Kevin Wuzzardo said.
