Investigative reporting Rachel Polansky is leaving the Gulf Coast and Waterman’s WBBH in Ft. Myers, FL after three and a half years, and heading for the North Coast and Tegna’s WKYC.
They’re thrilled on Lake Erie.
“As journalists, investigative reporting and breaking news that matters is at the heart of what we do each day,” said WKYC President and General Manager Micki Byrnes. “I’m thrilled to announce that Rachel will be joining our investigative news team.”
Over the last three and a half years in Ft. Myers, Polansky uncovered fraud and corruption and influenced a recent change in local and state laws, after a two year investigation into construction contractor fraud.
A new law was drafted as the result of her reporting.
