BEHIND THE MIC TO FRONT OF THE CAMERA
Joshua Johnson said he is stepping down as host of the WAMU/NPR national radio show “1A” to join MSNBC as an anchor early next year.
He shared his news on Facebook.
“This show is not about me. It’s not about a person,” Johnson said on-air at the end of Tuesday’s show. “It’s about speaking freely, and finding the courage to listen. That principle will remain.”
The network is expected to release the details of the program he will lead at a later date.
Let the speculation begin.
