Sam Singal, executive producer for “NBC Nightly News” since September 2015 has stepped down to “consider other options” at NBC News.

He came to the program along with anchor Lester Holt, from the weekend edition of the network’s flagship newscast.

In Cincinnati, veteran reporter Larry Davis is gone after 17 years at Sinclair’s WKRC.

Davis’ exit is the latest in an emerging pattern – anchor Brad Johansen left in February for Capitol Broadcasting’s WRAL in Raleigh, NC, in February, and in May, reporter Deb Dixon retired after 44 years on the job.

After a little more than four years, anchor/MMJ Christian Henson left Nexstar’s KTAL in Shreveport, LA.

She’s now a member of the newsroom at Spectrum News in Charlotte, NC.

The Syracuse grad has also worked in Lubbock, TX and Albany, NY.
