THE CBS SHUFFLE GETS REAL

What had been speculated about for days, weeks and even months, becomes official this morning.

Gayle King, the network’s $11 million woman, will be the sole survivor of the current “CBS This Morning” crew.

Norah O’Donnell is bound for the “CBS Evening News” and expected to be crowned with a chief political anchor role in the bargain.

John Dickerson is “60 Minutes” bound.

Replacing O’Donnell and Dickerson will be weekend “Evening News” anchor Anthony Mason and CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil next season.

All this, of course, is dependent on the required signatures on their respective dotted lines.

And then the effective date for all of this has to be set.

Maybe Jeff Glor could provide some insight.
