First it was November.
Then it was January.
Now we are told that the Black News Channel, the brainchild of former politician J.C. Watts will launch February 10 – coinciding with Black History Month.
Network executives previously announced plans to launch to an audience significantly larger than its original projections.
BNC said this new date “provides the time necessary to build out the distribution platforms, apps, and other infrastructure necessary.”
In other words, it would appear those in charge are having trouble making deadlines as they strive to launch a network they estimate will reach 70 million homes across the country.
“Black History Month is an appropriate time to launch the Black News Channel”, said Bob Brillante, co-founder and CEO of BNC, putting the best face on still another delay. “We are committed to make sure that when our viewers tune in they are witness to a quality viewing experience.”
