Maybe it’s who fans were hoping to see.

Out in Seattle, they had a high ol’ time at Saturday night at Nexstar’s KCPQ, when the newscast aired an entire segment about the Vikings’ “win” over the San Francisco 49ers.

Wait, what now?

“Whoever wins tomorrow [in the Seahawks-Packers game] will play the Minnesota Vikings next,” anchor Hana Kim begins. “The question is where. Today, the Vikings beat the 49ers to get to the NFC Championship. The final score was 27-10.”

The lower third also read: “VIKINGS WIN COULD MEAN SEATTLE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP.”

In the real world, it was the 49ers who won, 27-10, which would seem to make the Seahawks road to the Super Bowl a little tougher.

To add the comedy, the segment showed highlights from two different 49ers touchdown drives — an impossibility if the Niners indeed only scored 10 points.

Red faces have to be the order of the day, even two days after this colossally embarrassing blooper.
