Welcome Quincy Media’s KDLH, a sister station to KBJR in Duluth, MN to the ranks of newscasts seeking to cash in to an election year.

The station is adding a 5 pm newscast in March because, as news director Dave Jensch put it, “People expect you to be there in the morning, at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and on the weekends.”

And here it is 2020, a lot of political ad money is hanging in the air and now is the time to position yourself to grab it.

The established evening team of Kristen Vake, Anthony Matt and Dave Anderson will preside over the new newscast – more double duty.

At least a producer is being added.

“Jeopardy” is being pushed out of the way to make room for the newscast.
