Susan Zirinsky is busy reshaping CBS News and the rumors have been flying about Gayle King, Jeff Glor and John Dickerson.
But her first overt move was not addition – it was subtraction.
A mere six months after Bianna Golodryga became the fourth person on the set of “CBS This Morning,” her chair is off the set – and she is leaving the network.
Zirinsky, the CBS News president, reportedly felt four people was at least one too many on the morning program.
And while Zirinsky reportedly hoped to keep Golodrya around on other assignments, there’s a little contract clause that mandates her a chair on the morning show set or she’s out.
So she’s out.
But she also has a contributor contract at CNN and she is expected to continue in that role.
